Interior / drylining
Drylining is a term covering a range if internal construction applications that have a number of benefits to construction sites. The use of light weight internal partitions allows flexibility to the client and architect when designing the internal layout of a building. The different systems available can provide the fire and acoustic ratings that are required, whilst allowing freedom of decorative design.
When undertaken by professionals at MRF it’s a fast, cost effective method of refurbishing existing buildings, or providing the separation of floor space in new buildings. Our estimating team are on hand to offer advice on any system from basic walling to high specification partitions.
MRF specialize in the commercial market as well as having completed several residential developments. Most recent projects have been 1 hospital 2 schools, 1 industrial building.
Structural framing Systems (SMS/ Metsec)
MRF are approved installers of the market leading cold rolled structural framing system of Metsec. This is a construction process that originated in the USA and has become an ever increasing system used when refurbishing or constructing the external envelope of a building when the structure requires strengthening or a structural framing system is required to clad or infill a steel or concrete frame/structure. We have used this fast track and low weight system on a variety of buildings, hotels, school to offices and accommodation blocks. It can be covered with lightweight performing renders or can be clad with extruded insulation as a cavity insulator which can act as the inner skin to brick/block cladding.
Suspended Ceilings
MRF are recommended installers of all types of suspended ceiling applications including SAS, Armstrong and Luxalon.
A suspended ceiling is a secondary ceiling that is hung below the main structural soffit of a building. The void above the suspended ceiling can be used to conceal unsightly obstructions such as electric wiring and ductwork.
This is a fast and lightweight metal frame construction that can be utilized in different areas of a building by using a range of different tiles including metal and mineral fibers which come in many different finishes and colours. Specialist tiles can increase fire resistance, enhance sound absorption and even be used in areas of high humidity.
